Name: Lane Sharra Vrindel
Age: 16 years
Roleplayed By: Knight
Animal: North American River Otter
Personality: Lane has a cheerful personality, full of mischief and an eagerness to take on life. She likes to laugh, she likes finding things to enjoy, and she rarely dwells on the things that can make her sad. This can tend to affect her negatively as she’ll bury the bad things in her life, force herself to forget about the things that aren’t very good. She doesn’t let herself dwell on them at all, remaining cheerful at all times, and it breaks her heart to see anyone sad. Lane likes her life to be surrounded by roses and tulips, even if they aren’t really there, and she refuses to see anything other than her illusions.
Lane is not shy, and dislikes having the spotlight focused on anyone other than herself. She wants people to care about her, to look at her and to think that she’s the best thing since sliced bread. She wants people to look at her and smile, Lane wants everyone to have a very high opinion of her.
She’s certainly high maintenance, and knows it, but Lane would never change a thing about herself. She finds that people should like her no matter what, but if they don’t, she should go find herself other fans. Lane is the high maintenance show girl (figuratively) they scooped up from the streets, and she knows it.
History: Lane was born on October 31st in the year 1993, in a small town in the state of Missouri
Lane was not a natural born ‘shifter, born as a perfectly normal young girl (or rather, as normal as a girl with a personality like hers could be) and she pranced through childhood with an ever-present smile and a love of flowers, as well as people. Throughout grade school, she’d had her share of boyfriends, but mostly she had followers, people who wanted to be popular, and Lane had the possibility to become popular, and she managed to pull it off well enough.
She’d become fairly popular by around the age of 13, flirting with the boys and getting herself boyfriends who gazed at her lovingly left, right, and center. Lane loved it all. It went straight to her head, and she learned to grow those figurative roses and daisies that decorated her world, that still do.
At 14, she was walking home from school when they found her, they being those who worked for the German laboratory, of course.
She was cornered in a dark alley, and the men started asking her questions about her blood type and fitness level and weight. Lane answered each of those questions with a flirtatious toss of her head, and a small smile.
She never came home that night, and within the year, the DNA inside her body was twisted into something entirely new. By the age of 15, she was a fully blown ‘shifter, finally learning to control how to shapeshift and using it well.
Lane came to bury those events in the darkest recesses of her mind, however, claiming that she was always a ‘shifter, a natural one. No one noticed or cared enough to contradict her story, so she got away with it. It didn’t hurt that she was sleeping with a few of the scientists at that point as well.
Appearance: Human Form: Her eyes are a dark brown; her delicate face is framed by a dark chestnut brown hair that stretches to her shoulders. Her hair is typically straightened, but it is naturally curly, and when she doesn’t bother to straighten it, it’s wavy, not really all that curly. Lane’s skin is rather tanned, considering she doesn’t spend much time outside, that’s rather odd.
She typically dresses casually, in a white t-shirt and Levis, and scuffed once white sneakers. Lane dresses better than the typical shapeshifter, she usually makes out with a guard or a scientist or someone with money to spare until they buy her clothes, then dumps them in a heartbeat.
Animal Form: As an animal, she takes the form of a North American River Otter (better known as simply a River Otter), with mainly brown fur, though there are a few white patches on her muzzle and on her underbelly, as well as the white fur that lines the underside of her eyes. She is a little bit on the small side for an otter, only around 21 inches, not including her 12 inch tail, which makes Lane’s total length in animal form around 33 inches long. She weighs approximately 15 pounds without waterlogged fur, the water adds around 2 pounds to her weight.
