Iona sighed and watched sam go. She growled but didnt move. ''Im going to breakfast,'' She snapped to Bryan as she stormed out of the room, leaving her ''brother'' there, alone in the room filled with books.

Someday love will find you Break those chains that bind you One night will remind you How we touched....
Leo had seen it all, and he leaned against the wall, his eyes flashing with anger as it went on. Iona brushed past him, hardly noticing him, and he snarled. "Don't. Touch. Me." his eyes narrowed, and his ears pressed themselves against his skull. "Leo!" Sam's voice cracked like a whip, "Don't kill her."Leo turned his head towards Sam, and there was a hint of disappointment to his voice when he spoke, "I can't claw her into shreds and then feed her to the dogs? Or maybe throw her to the dogs, then claw her to shreds? Can I at least gouge the boyfriend's eye out?" he wasn't kidding. He was angry. The scar on his face stood out against an ugly flush of fury, "Besides which, anyone who hurt you like that deserves to be killed." he glowered at Iona. Sam jerked his head, "She didn't hurt--" he was cut off by a derisive laugh. "Like hell she didn't! I see the look in your eyes, I saw you!" he turned accusing eyes towards Iona, jerking his head back as Sam spoke. "Look, Leo. Just don't. We don't need a fight." Sam ordered. Leo hissed to himself, "You're wrong. She couldn't hurt me. Wolves are stupid, and she's too blinded by anger to move fast enough to catch a cat."Sam shook his head sadly, "You're blinded by anger as well." he pointed out. Leo snapped his teeth together, "No, I'm not. I'm angry because of what she did to you. That doesn't mean I'm blinded by it." he rolled his eyes. Sam laughed, "You're a fool. You are blinded by your anger, and while it's nice to know that someone cares, I like you too much to stand by while she kills you. And I'm pretty sure I've used up all my favors. If I killed her, I'd be dead right behind her. And where would we have gotten? Nowhere. It's not worth it."Leo snorted, "Well, at least she'd be off the face of the planet and she'd never hurt you again.""And I'd be dead." Sam pointed out. Leo grumbled to himself, "Next time she comes near you, I'll her. Got that?" but, however unhappy about it he was, he stalked over to Sam. Sam grinned, "That's my boy." the only show of affection Sam was likely to ever give, he threw his arms around his friend, who returned the hug, if a little awkwardly. Sam could feel the tremor run through Leo's body, and he let the boy go. Leo's fingers shook as he moved away his black palms presented to Iona. He gave a very obvious shudder. Sam sighed, "I'm sorry. I know you hate being touched."Leo didn't reply. He was obviously shaken. And went our separate ways If he ever hurts you True love won't desert you You know I still love you[/blockquote]

Iona didnt even pay attention to Leo at first. She held in a snarl as she walked down the hall, her ears pinned to her head. She took a deep breath, trying to calm her raging nerves that shook her chest. When Leo finally silenced she turned and looked at them both. Anger wasnt present on her face, only annoyance and hurt.
''Listen here, Kitty,'' She said in a quite, cool and collected voice. ''My mind races, my mind chooses the wrong words at times, but when it comes to a fight, i can garuntee you that i will kill all, including myself and you, before i let a /THING/ harm Sam,'' She snapped, her eyes blazing. Her breathing turned from soft and even to heavy and shaking.
She paused and glared down the hall at them both. Bryan stood at the doorway, listening and watching. ''I almost had a friend, had i learned to but give him a chance. He gave me a chance, and i blew it. I may not get another, but i will NOT let his chance go by.'' She snarled. She looked at sam, and her face changed from angered and hurt, to sorry, sad and slightly caring.
She nodded to sam. ''Im sorry sam,'' She finished and turned and walked off. She was trying not to loose control of herself. She wanted to stay in control of herself.

And her soul Walks beside her An army stands Behind her
Leo bristled fiercely, "I would kill you first." he snapped, "The moment you show the slightest inclination to hurt him, I don't even care if you mean it or not, I will shred your ears off. You will never hurt him." His fingers curled into fists
Sam ran a hand through his hair, "Honestly Leo, when I said don't kill her, I meant it. Don't provoke her. I'd be very sad if I had to kill her." he glanced meaningfully at Leo, who narrowed his eyes, but relaxed very slightly.
Sam nodded. "That's right. Don't kill anybody. I need you." what he didn't mention was that he needed her, that she was going to be his prize conquest.
But Leo caught those unspoken words, and his eyes darkened. He turned away, eyes narrowed fiercely. "No, you don't. But I need you. If you ever forget that. I-I'll..." his tongue stumbled over the words, giving him a pathetic little stutter. He blushed fiercely, and practically ran out of the hallway.
Sam studied his retreating back, "Pity. Now I'll have to persuade him I like him again. Sheesh, sometimes I want to hunt down his mother and kill her for him." he rolled his eyes, an expression of disparaging amusement in his eyes. He liked the boy all right, but sometimes he was just . . . pissy.
He turned his attention to Iona. "Ya know, you don't have to leave. All you have to do is ask that boyfriend of yours what I said to him. Then you can feel much better about yelling at me. Can't say I didn't deserve it, but, you know... Still hurt. But then again, you're forgiven. But I doubt you'll forgive me." he shrugged, watching her retreating back. He didn't mind groveling. It wasn't so bad.
He watched the emotions on her face curiously. Sam filed that away for future reference, his lips quirking upwards in an odd little smile. "I'm not worth your apology." he added, his voice heavy.
Anyone other than Leo would not be able to tell that he was manipulating her. He wanted her to be his friend, if that was what it took, and this was the only way he knew how. If someone had known he was manipulating her, they would've noted the desperation in his eyes, and that he truly wanted to be her friend.
Of course, he also wanted to control her, but that would come later. First he would rope her in...
And the stars Look down upon her As darkness Settles on her [/blockquote]
